ALD Posted May 12, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 12, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) The beach sandals of the Teen Spirit, imprinted on the walls, is all that remains of a now extinct generation. For 18 timeless years they traversed the oceans of childhood, unleashing all the energy of their innocence into one final wave. Scrambling up the beach of a billion footprints, they gave themselves freely, to be devoured by the monster of civilisation, the denigration of values. "Where did all the kids go?" we will ask. "We just don't know!" our own echoes will reply as we shun the murmur of the ancient voice from deep within our metal, shuttered hearts. "They were All here until You taught them that they will decide what is good and what is evil". So we stood standing on the empty beach, looking for beauty that we could only glimpse, but never find. And we looked again, and we saw then: the slow advance of a Winter blue wrapping up the perfect Summer in the shadow of its Autumn colours. We looked again once more we saw the sunny bench where we had shared an ice-cream and fallen in love. Exactly there, we had sat and admired each others bright eyes and young smiles. The more we look the less we see, and the blindness advances until presumably we wait for yet another summer and pretend that on this day we had never seen finally,...the ultimate truth. That we can only become children again, when we stop deciding what values are, and accept that they existed before civilisation did. That beauty existed before civilisation, and that civilisation is something strange that just does not seem to belong. M9. Summilux 35 mm fle, iso160, F/16, 1/250 Welcome, dear visitor!
