defektive Posted May 2, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted May 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone have experience mounting an R lens on an R film body that has been shaved for digital use? I am not sure what has actually been shaved so do not know if it affects their use when mounted back on an R. I am looking at a couple of lenses for sale that have been shaved and I would like to use them on an R7. Â Cheers
Advertisement Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hi defektive, Take a look here Shaved lenses. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted May 4, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted May 4, 2013 It shouldn't be a problem using these lenses on an R camera, provided they have not been damaged by the operation. I would insist on a return guaranty, even if only for a week.
spydrxx Posted May 7, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted May 7, 2013 I never had a problem with one lens which was shaved. The shroud shaved area was touched up with flat black paint so as to not create a reflective surface & everything worked just fine on both the digital and R bodies.
