EH21 Posted April 2, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted April 2, 2007 Why be shy...tell us which camera and what's happening. I am experiencing the same issue with lightroom v1.0 and my DMR files. Lightroom will usually skip two or three per hundred images. I now always move them manually off the card to the hard drive then import into lightroom and that fixes the problem though takes an extra step. cometsoft Posted April 2, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted April 2, 2007 Happens to me too. But not just with the M8. Also the 1DSII and 1DS.
woodda Posted April 2, 2007 Share #5  Posted April 2, 2007 Yes it is very annoying. I have it for the following reasons  1. Lightroom will not copy files from camera to drive if "full control" under drive security is not ticked. I can copt in explorer. 2. Movie File  Notice that lightroom also says some files are corrupt when they open OK in Photoshop  Regards
hdg Posted April 2, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted April 2, 2007 Lightroom works well with my DMR-dng-files and D-Lux-RAW-files. Compared to CS2 there is a better automatic development with excellent results. But after this I use CS2 for further details and PageMaker for printing. Â Regards Dieter, using R9+DMR (V1.2) and D-Lux

bill vann Posted April 2, 2007 Share #9 Â Posted April 2, 2007 I have the problem as well. I download from a reader then import into LR. Â I also have print probems sporadically to my epson 2200, (just died) and its replacement HP 9180 as well as my Designjet 130. either freezes or somtimes i get an out of memory message (not likely) Â and finally if i ouput to CS3 (beta) and work in CS3 there is about a 40% chance CS3 will lock up. Â also don't like soe of the settings retentions and have to look about for files occasionally. started reading the manual to understand the presets and default operations. Â I really like LR but am definitely having issues with it. Â bill
dspeltz Posted April 2, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted April 2, 2007 About 2-3% of my M8 DNG will not import on the first run. I reimport and generally they succeed the second run. Â It is a Lightroom problem. Â On the other hand, IV Media Pro will not import ANY M8 v 1.92 images. 1.90 it will import,
carstenw Posted April 2, 2007 Share #11 Â Posted April 2, 2007 I used to have this problem with Beta 4, although it started relatively late in my tests of it. They disappear in Lightroom v1 for me.
newyorkone Posted April 2, 2007 Share #12 Â Posted April 2, 2007 Just imported 60 or so M8 images with a Sandisk 12-in-1 reader, Sandisk Extreme III 2 GB SD card using LR and 2 would not import. Yesterday, similar number of photos and 1 wouldn't import. Â Removed the card and inserted it back in and re-imported, ignoring duplicates. This time the two photos that wouldn't import the first go around, imported successfully. Go figure. Â 5-6 imports prior to these last 2, no problems. Don't see a real pattern and I always reformat the card on the camera after each shoot??? Â I'm thinking it must be LR if it imports the 2nd time. Oh well... albertknappmd Posted April 3, 2007 Share #13 Â Posted April 3, 2007 good observation and i would agree that it looks like a software problem. Must therefore verify each time that all files are successfully transfered.... Await v1.1 !!
Guest sirvine Posted April 3, 2007 Share #14 Â Posted April 3, 2007 Never had this problem. I've been using Sandisc 12-in-1 reader and all Lightroom Betas and v1.0. Â The only files that don't get transferred are dupes.
