Is the X1 lens weather sealed at all?

I also doubt that there is much sealing. And I do recall a couple of owners mentioning dust because of the lens extending and retracting all the time. It's possible/probable that dust gets sucked in from the lens movement.

If you get a Kiwi tube and mount a filter to it, then I think any dust ingress might be mitigated. Of course it makes the camera no longer pocket sized, unless you dismantle the tube every time.

But the Kiwi does 'seal' the lens up and it allows for the use of filters and hoods. Plus you don't have to keep removing that lens cap every time you turn on the camera. It does offer more functionality and protection overall.

If we're talking small'ish cameras with weather sealing, then the olympus om-d is probably the closest fit. That being said, I've just tried one and was rather dissapointed.

In my honest opinion, image quality wise, the X2 that I have trumps it 10-0. And with my semi-large hands the om-d ergonomics just blow..
