Anybody knowing what the problem might be? Rather than uploading my images for the size restrictions (I'm resizing to 3600x1200, 500kB for another forum and my own purposes and don't want to export double with the 900x900/300kB for this forum) I want to link to my blogger photo blog (see below in signature) to make my photos be seen here.

So I click on the graphic icon, the pop up to enter the link appears. I paste the link and immediately the jpg itself, not the html code, appears. Then I click on "preview" or "submit" and the jpg vanishes and only the html code of the link appears.

This appears to be limited to blogger, when I link to Flickr the jpg appears in preview or submission. But I do not do Flickr, so I need to find a way to make the blogger link work. Below visualization of the issue. Any ideas?

This forum will show images only from a selected number of servers. This has become necessary due to security reasons. Otherwise, exposing forum members to images and links carrying malware would be a definite risk.

Also, please be aware that the forum's constraints on image sizes also applies to images fetched from elsewhere. Since not all people access the forum over high speed lines you'd cause very slow access for those people in more rural regions or on the go.

The size limit on this forum is 1024 x1024 and 300kb, unless you sponsor in which case the file size is 600kb

No one I know has a 3600 pixel monitor, so why you would want to show jpgs at that size on the Internet, I don't know. With a 500kb restriction, that must be highly compressed at that size, anyway.

This forum's sizes are a good compromise, IMHO.

That I didn't know, I thought it was 900x900.

Anyway the way it is, is the way it is. I'd liked the idea to link to my site as I put some care in maintaining it, so folks can get a higher resolution by right-clicking if they wish so.

I'll see what 1024x1024 and 300 KB will eventually look like. Lightroom threw out 900x900/300kB jpgs I didn't like. I de-activated sharpening in the export but still the result seems imperfect. If 1024x1024/300 turns out to look ok, I'll change my jpg export settings for general internet use.

Thanks for the hint though...
