A miller Posted April 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) On one of my "coffee breaks" last week I found an interesting angle to shoot passerbys on this very interesting bridge. I've posted some pictures of the bridge itself in the Architecture forum... Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted April 23, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 23, 2013 Adam. A fine series. I like the first the most. I find No.2 too cramped and No.3 has the post in the way. Paul
stuny Posted April 23, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 23, 2013 Adam - Terrific. Did you get much in the way of stares and comments from the people passing by?
A miller Posted April 23, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted April 23, 2013 Hi Stuart - thanks as always for your feedback. It is funny that you asked about the reaction from people because throughout my trip last week i couldnt help but observe how relatively insensitive people are to being included in a random picture. In NYC, people tend to act with fire in their eyes, as if they have just been robbed. I didnt get this hardly at all in London. Funny.
Hookeye Posted April 23, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 23, 2013 I also like #1 best. Very good indeed. How did you get the colours to turn out that way?
A miller Posted April 23, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted April 23, 2013 Many thanks, Hookeye. I achieve this cartoon-like look by exaggerating the "detail extractor" function of the Color Efex editing software. Clearly, this isn't a standard procedure in my editing workflow; but I found it fun to play around with these scenes given the mixture of people, metal and stonework. Best, Adam
