Flyfisherman Posted April 7, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, Just gotten my new M but don seem to be able to get the focus peaking feature to work. I followed the instruction manual, switched focus peaking on, switched to LV, pressed the focus button and adjusted the dial and all it did was magnification......????? Did I do anything wrong? digitalfx Posted April 7, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 7, 2013 are you looking thru the rangefinder or rear LCD?

algrove Posted April 7, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 7, 2013 Does "adjust the dial" mean turn focus ring? If not turn the lens focus ever so SLOWLY as you can go right on past it (The red outline of what's in focus) in a nanosecond. It works but is very faint and the first time you try it, you will miss it if you do not know what to look for all too often. Congrats on your new M. digitalfx Posted April 7, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 7, 2013 look at a high contrast area and turn the focus slowly. Are you using the 5X or 10x feature? Its easier to see when zoomed in
