jip Posted April 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello guys, I'm in the states for a month, near Philadelphia. I shot a few rolls of Tri-X 400 here and need them to be developed and scanned before I head back to Europe again. I was wondering what is the best way to get my film developed and scanned (decent RAW files please) I found a photolab in Philly, but they only did JPEGs... I'm okay with sending my film per mail... Please advice, thanks in advance!
Advertisement Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hi jip, Take a look here FILM Development Philadelphia?!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
kdriceman Posted April 4, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 4, 2013 These guys have done a nice job for me and they upload the scans so you can download them as soon as they are processed, and you don't have to wait for mail delivery to look at and use them. They do provide higher resolution scans (18MB) for an extra charge, but I think they are still JPEGs. They are in California so you would need to mail them in. http://thedarkroom.com/film-developing/35mm-film-developing/

norbertnl Posted April 6, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 6, 2013 Jip, in Philadelphia you're not too far away from New York City. The Photo Village has a scanning service using a Hasselblad X5: The Photo Village :: Scanning Services. They're not really cheap though; self-scanning should be the most reasonable option. Maybe not suitable if you intend to scan everything, but for a selection of your best shots on TriX the X5 is a real treat. I don't know about the current situation as to film development in NYC though. Success, and have a safe trip back to Gelderland, Norbert
