pauledell Posted April 3, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 3, 2013 A nice picture. Fine composition, colors and sharpness. What is the greenish haze at the bottom center of the picture?
atournas Posted April 3, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted April 3, 2013 [...] What is the greenish haze at the bottom center of the picture? Thanks for looking. If you mean the oval thing under the black egg, I presume it's a shadow. Paul
stuny Posted April 3, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 3, 2013 Very nice. I see some green in the shadow that seemsnot to belong there, as well as a pattern of faint green lines in most of the egg, as thogh the negative was lightly brushed in one direction with sand paper. Thanks for looking. You are right about the marks, but nothing I can do--the original slide was processed in a high street lab (I was in a hurry) and it is damaged at certain areas. The composition is still there, though, so it may deserve one post at least. Paul
stuny Posted April 4, 2013 Share #6 Posted April 4, 2013 The image is too good to give up on without trying to fix that (and the green in the lower part of his trousers as well as the lines in his suit). I tried, using my very limited PhotoShop skills. I'm sure somebody more skilled could do it much better: Welcome, dear visitor!
