egibaud Posted March 30, 2007 Share #1  Posted March 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Many people complain about waiting for Leica material, the camera itself or any lense, accessory etc.  I completely agree BUT for the first time in many years I feel like a kid. When I was a kid I'd wait for Santa to bring me presents. Later I'd wait to have gathered enough money to buy what I wanted.  But now, luckily for me, money was not a problem and I realize that one does not value and appreciate things the same way when he gets them easily.  With my Leica adventure, I've felt like a kid. Place the order, that was my letter to Santa Claus (december 4th) then... wait, read magazines, read this forum and others... wait wait wait... and a call from the dealer :-)))) I have the spare battery.... LOL and??   Get a Luigi case and smell it on daily basis, hold it imagining the M8 is inserted in it.  wait wait  Get a Billingham bag, touch it, feel it, put the Luigi case in it :-)  wait for camera bit more and then.... Have the bag (a very good "mekko" bag found at the FNAC in Paris, have most of the desired lenses (except for the 19mm), have the SD cards...  ... and reading every thread, surfing the Net, looking for the slightest announcement, and waiting, waiting for the R10. To be excited about  I'm waiting for my WATE adapter, this will be cool  Leica 135 3.4 apo yes no framelines , guessing at what is in the frame but bring it on I want something sharp wide open and long. love the challenge  What to do with 2 30 percent off coupons. Yes they sit here on my desk and talk to me every morning when i fire up the computer. It's like a nagging wife telling you to do something around the house. Not fun but glad she still loves you enough to bug you. LOL This works both ways for our female members  Oh maybe the most exciting is getting more work to play with the M8 and create more great images. BTW, I'm undecided about the IR filters. I've been shooting for several days now and have yet to see any problems. I know that some users have never experienced the problem.
