MEB Posted March 29, 2013 Share #1  Posted March 29, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) "Hey...aren't you the same guy who bothered me last year?" I was invited to the top of the building to photograph this mated couple of Peregrine Falcons again. This is the third year in a row that they have successfully nested in this location.  I am shooting through a dirty window with significant sun glaring on the glass. This is the clearest that I can get it in LR4. M9 (still waiting for the M) with 75 cron.  Thanks for looking, Mark  Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted March 30, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted March 30, 2013 Mark. Â A great shot and the recognition from the Falcon. She must have a good memory. Â Paul
platypus Posted March 30, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted March 30, 2013 Good for them, though the nest looks a bit bare, stony and unlined. Considering the difficulties you had it's a great shot.

MEB Posted March 30, 2013 Author Share #6 Â Posted March 30, 2013 K-H, Paul, Doppel and Platypus- Â Thank you. I will try to keep updating pictures of the family as it progresses. Â Incidentally Platypus, Peregrines are natural cliff dwellers (which is why they have taken to city skyscrapers). Their preferred nesting conditions are gravelly. This pair was interested in this building but did not decide to nest there until the building managers (after consultation with the state department of natural resources) placed several bags of pea gravel in the confined area that you see in the photo. Then the birds felt comfortable and began nesting. Â Mark
