Ivan Muller Posted March 26, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted March 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) ...when I joined the forum about two years ago, the perk for signing up as a sponsoring member was a copy of Nik colour Efex. I lost that software in a pc upgrade a while ago...and I have been using Nik silver Efex for a while now. Today I got this message from Google : Â ' Dear Ivan, Thanks for being a long-time Nik customer. As a registered owner of one or more of our software products, we are pleased to announce that you are now eligible for a free copy of the new Nik Collection by Google, which includes all six of our award-winning plug-ins for Photoshop, Lightroom, or Aperture.' Â It includes the following, Â Color Efex Pro 4 Dfine2 Fusion express Silver Efex2 Sharpener Pro Raw presharpener Sharpener Pro output sharpener Viveza 2 Â All in all a great little present. I will post some before and after images here once I get the hang of some of them...
Ivan Muller Posted March 26, 2013 Author Share #2  Posted March 26, 2013 Managed to do a before and after. Before is just as is out of camera with LR4, with no adjustments. After image via 'Color Efex Pro4' and the 'bleach bypass' preset. Then sharpened with 'Raw presharpener'. Have a look here for some more adjustments and PP made with my 'Nik collection' plug ins.....Ivan Muller, the lazy travel photographer ... Welcome, dear visitor! rafikiphoto Posted March 26, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted March 26, 2013 I saw that Google are giving a Collection free to existing users of at least one Nik product. I was just wondering if I need to buy the Nik collection now as I will shortly get a copy of Silver Efex 2 when my M Monochrom arrives tomorrow. I guess I'll register asap and see if I get the offer letter. I hope so. Â Incidentally the collection is a further $22 cheaper using code MU-43. DigitalHeMan Posted March 26, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted March 26, 2013 I bought the collection last month for 250$ yesterday Google refunded 100$ to my Paypal account to make up for the difference between the old and new price. Very impressed by that, excellent customer focused move.
