Then I found that while noisy, it is not as ugly as the noise from the other digital cameras I have. When converting to monochrome, it is closer to film grain than digital grain and I've not had a problem with banding on the Leica. Â We are one step over the line when we think that noise looks like grain. It means we are beginning to forget, or never knew what grain looked like. .
