Advertisement Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Hi john79456, Take a look here Summar Summer. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest johann_wolfgang Posted July 22, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 22, 2006 Hi John, it is a very nice picture, I like his posing. The tonal range is a little bit to small, missing deep black. Isn`t it? Cheers Johann
stuny Posted July 23, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 23, 2006 John - I too feel that this needs to be punched up a bit. The basics are already there in spades with your framing and subject.

My one was "ill" of fungi and had to go before infecting others. But i likesd it for its smooth sharpness. good shot Andreas

john79456 Posted August 2, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted August 2, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you for your comments, Andreas and Ed. Andreas: This is rapidly becoming one of my favourite lenses! It is teaching me that lens design isnt all about over- the- top contrast, as present in a lot of Japanese glass, it is about subtle nuiances and an overall depth to a photograph. The Summar exhibits amazing luminosity and that certain 'Leica look' that is very difficult for other manufacturers to imitate. Kind Regards, John.
