Broadoaker Posted March 19, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 19, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've just bought a D-Lux 5 and plan to use it with the grip and EVF. As it's going to spend most if its non-shooting time in my briefcase it will need some protection from the rest of my briefcase's contents. Can anyone recommend a case that the camera will fit into with the grip and EVF attached as I don't want to assemble it every time I want to use it? Advertisement Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Hi Broadoaker, Take a look here case recommendations for D-Lux 5 with grip and EVF. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted March 19, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 19, 2013 I find it takes too much time to free a camera from a case for shooting and therefore use soft cloth bags for exactly the purpose you describe, including for my D-Lux 5 with EVF and grip. Timmyjoe Posted March 19, 2013 Share #3 Posted March 19, 2013 Agree with Stuart, Leica makes an Ever Ready camera case for the D-Lux5 with the grip attached, but when I tried one, it was very impractical in use. Front of the case did not drop down properly, so you needed to remove it, which was time consuming. And the EVF is stored separately. Soft bag works best. santila Posted March 19, 2013 Share #4 Posted March 19, 2013 Amazon.com: Leica D-LUX 6 Neck Strap (Lanyard Style) Adjustable With Quick-Release.: Everything Else I carry my D6 around my neck in a Crown Royal (whisky) pouch when I am out for shooting or just have it around. This neck strap from Amazon works great. For a solid case I highly recommend Lowepro Dashpoint 30. It will take the camera+VF+HG assambled with a low profile. Guest D-Lux 6 Posted March 21, 2013 Share #6 Posted March 21, 2013 I also recommend checking on e-bay if you haven't already. They have many cases that are "knock-offs" that are very reasonably priced.
