philipus Posted March 17, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is Photoshop CS5.5 still being sold and, if so, why would one instead buy CS6?
Advertisement Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Hi philipus, Take a look here Photoshop CS5.5 or CS6?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
250swb Posted March 17, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2013 Because CS6 has a number of clever new tricks, but perhaps more importantly ACR is written in a different way to ACR in CS5 which means new cameras as they come on stream are not supported in CS5. philipus Posted March 18, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted March 18, 2013 Thanks Steve. I don't use ACR (any longer) so I guess version 5 could be sufficient for me to edit scanned images. The problem is where to find a copy.
250swb Posted March 18, 2013 Share #4 Posted March 18, 2013 Absolutely no reason why not if you don't use ACR. It is still a very powerful tool even if you go back to 4 or 3. The refinements in 6 centre largely around ACR, so you won't be missing anything crucial. Steve
