Ive been eyeing the Luigi case to match the incoming strap, but i have a question...

Do you have to take the whole thing off to change batteries or sd card in the field?

Holding the baseplate with your teeth is one thing. Holding the plate and a case is quite another.

Yes, I have to slip off the whole case, but that takes just a second once you just learn to unsnap and grip the bottom.

[by the way, Matt - I saw in your profile that you are looking for a 50mm f1.4 - I have a new ASPH for sale on the photo.net classifieds right now.]

I'm wondering how to use flash, off camera seems the only option. There must be some way to get flash triggering accomplished while still having the "frankinfinder" mounted on the camera top. Are there low profile hot shoe adapters with a PC plug?

No low profile hot shoe adapters that I could find and I looked extensively.

I wish a spirit level was built flush into the top of the camera over by the window for battery level where it wouldn't get in the way. Wide finders really should have bubble levels built in in the bottom of the viewfinder view like the Alpa or Linhof finders.

I just stuck a level on top of my M8 (couldn't find a less obtrusive lower profile one). Sometimes I like to frame and focus and bring the camera down to chest or waist level firing with my thumb and using the level to square up especially with very wide lenses.
