I am going to Germany in April and looking to get a M9p used in either Berlin or Munich. Can someone give me some info about where should i get it, and how much should it be for the used one? Or should i go to brand new M-E instead?

I dont know if i can get a tax-refund from the store?

Thank you very much, i am going to be very new for Leica^^

The "Leica Store Munich" has some used M9 and M9Ps on display. You can see them here.

In Berlin "Meister Camera" would be the shop you should look at. You can see their offers here.

Another shop in munich for used Leicas would be "Foto-Video Sauter". See their homepage here.

You can't get tax-refund from the shops directly, but from the airports custom office when leaving the country. The shops will assist you in getting the right invoices to do so.

On Meister's site you can tell.

If they say : "MwSt nicht ausweisbar", there is no proof of the original VAT, so you cannot reclaim, if they say "Differenzbesteuerung" they only add VAT on the difference between their buying cost and final price, so the amount will be not too high.

Generally for used gear at this level it is better to buy new and reclaim the full VAT. So get an ME. Or - if you are lucky, you might find a new-old stock M9P.

Or - at Meister there is grey demo M9 for the price of an ME.
