Advertisement Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Hi sydkugelmass, Take a look here M240 - Forget the Biogon?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dierk Posted March 9, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 9, 2013 for me it looks very bad as with M9. That convinces me to sell mine now. For B&W users: it is perfect on the Monochrom or B&W from the M9, I used it very much till I invested in the Super-Elmar 21mm for architecture: it has no distortion!! and can be corrected with Cornerfix! MirekE Posted March 9, 2013 Share #3 Posted March 9, 2013 I used it very much till I invested in the Super-Elmar 21mm Color cast and distortion aside, how they compare?
UliWer Posted March 9, 2013 Share #4 Posted March 9, 2013 ...fw 1.1.1.0, ... The last version 1.102 seems to have important corrections for the red corners. Perhaps it also improves the performance of the Biogon.
billo101 Posted March 9, 2013 Share #5 Posted March 9, 2013 It is special on the Monochrom, no other. b
wattsy Posted March 9, 2013 Share #6 Posted March 9, 2013 It is special on the Monochrom, no other. M mount film body? I think there are still a few of those knocking about.

01af Posted March 9, 2013 Share #8 Posted March 9, 2013 ... fw 1.1.1.0 ... The last version 1.102 ... I really wish people would refrain from making up their own fantasy firmware version numbers The current M (Typ 240) firmware is 1.1.0.2. Okay? Perhaps it also improves the performance of the Biogon. I'm afraid it doesn't. At least my short-back-focus 21 mm lens, which also creates red edges to the left and the right in the M, hasn't improved by updating the M's firmware from 1.1.0.0 to 1.1.0.2 ... so I guess it won't help with the C Biogon 21/4.5 ZM either. sydkugelmass Posted March 9, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted March 9, 2013 I really wish people would refrain from making up their own fantasy firmware version numbers The current M (Typ 240) firmware is 1.1.0.2. Okay? Ok, I remembered it the wrong way. Read it as: 'early release certainly not offering an adequate correction for the cited lens' . (Sounds it better? Okay?) firstlight Posted March 10, 2013 Share #10 Posted March 10, 2013 I have the ZM Biogon 21/2.8 - Anyone has an experience with this lens on the new M? What can we expect? ...still waiting for my M...
40mm f/2 Posted March 10, 2013 Share #11 Posted March 10, 2013 I was under the impression that the M240 sensor would function better with lenses of oblique incidence angle than the M9. May be not so much better? Anyone tested the Biogon 35mm f2.8 C?
tobey bilek Posted March 10, 2013 Share #12 Posted March 10, 2013 There is always corner fix. Works perfectly every time if you make a profile for all the F stops you use.
dierk Posted March 10, 2013 Share #13 Posted March 10, 2013 Color cast and distortion aside, how they compare? I compared only at f/5.6! the C-Biogon 21/4.5 is sharper in the center and the Super-Elmar 21/3.5 is much sharper in the edges! No problems of the Super-Elmar on the M9. stonearabiapix Posted March 10, 2013 Share #14 Posted March 10, 2013 Despite the underexposure and red edges; I'd just like to say what a lovely toy store.
