Advertisement Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Hi sheikhrafiq79, Take a look here image quality. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JeTexas Posted March 8, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2013 The DMR had a 1.37x crop and a 10mp sensor, so it would be more comparable to the M8. I wouldn't print an M8 shot above 16x20. I would think at sizes larger than that, the M typ 240 would be noticeably better than the DMR.
FlashGordonPhotography Posted March 10, 2013 Share #3 Posted March 10, 2013 Depends on the subject of the image and the viewing distance. A photo of a blue sky can be printed top huge sizes. An image of ferns in a rain forest, not so much. 10MP is just fine for a billboard. Not so much if you're viewing it from a few feet away. Tonki-M Posted March 10, 2013 Share #4 Posted March 10, 2013 given the same viewing distance, bigger megapixel file is going to have more definition because it can be printed at higher ppi(dpi) value. Given a far enough viewing distance, the difference between high megapixel cameras and low megapixel cameras will become negligible.
Lee Martin Posted March 10, 2013 Share #5 Posted March 10, 2013 I'm not regularly printing images myself, but have seen some amazing large prints produced from comparatively small files, with the assistance of software like "genuine fractals" there must be other alternative software from other manufacturers that I think work in a similar way, but it's amazing what can be achieved
