Just received my new 30% off Noctilux today and am awaiting total darkness to try it out. And it's all this forums fault!! Am having a ball with the M8 and the new collection of lenses which magically appear at the front door from time to time. My wife thinks it must be the tooth fairy !! Anyway, thanks for ALL of your good work.  Cheers,  Jim

losta Posted March 28, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted March 28, 2007 Good deal from Apple! Â I ordered the Creative Suite Premium Presentation Upgrade from Adobe for $599. In addition to PS CS3 I'll get Illustrator, InDesign, DreamWeaver, Flash, Acrobat. I have the the original CS Premium but had only updated PS to CS2. Not bad for $100 per application. stunsworth Posted March 28, 2007 Share #9  Posted March 28, 2007 If you live in the UK it's yet again a total rip off by a US company. The upgrade from the UK apple store is £164.95. That's around $320!  The full product is £569, that's around $1100!!!
guywalder Posted March 28, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted March 28, 2007 Steve, its not just US companies, I moved from the UK to Germany some years ago, Everything is cheaper in Germany! Well except Deutsche Post that is.... It must be because Gordon's economic miracle has made all the Brits so rich, or was that Nigel's economic miracle?? I loose track... photolandscape Posted March 28, 2007 Share #12 Â Posted March 28, 2007 I have CS2 and Lightroom, which I haven't gotten around to learning. Same with C1. Maybe it's just me, but I find keeping up with all the incremental software improvements can become a huge distraction, and often, there don't seem to be many advantages in continually upgrading. A good case in point in my mind is Nik Sharpener--to me, it is practically useless. Â What specific advantages will CS3 offer Leica M8 users? I'm interested, but just want to understand what I'm getting. Â One other software question--noise reduction software--what do people recommend these days, and does it really make a worthwhile difference? Â Thanks. losta Posted March 28, 2007 Share #13  Posted March 28, 2007 What specific advantages will CS3 offer Leica M8 users? I'm interested, but just want to understand what I'm getting. Thanks. My favorite so far is the major upgrade of RAW (DNG on M8) processing in both CS3 and Lightroom. You have so much more processing power and it's easy and intuitive. You should check out the develop module in Lightroom that you have, it's amazing! http://www.lightroomtools.com/ http://lightroom-news.com/ http://www.whibalhost.com/_Tutorials/Photoshop_LR/01/index.html  Also with the CS3 upgrade are speed enhancements especially for Mac Intel users, improved selection tools and more.  I am going to Photoshop World in Boston next week so 10 days from now I'll know alot more.
