jrc Posted March 27, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted March 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Could one of you engineer guys make templates that would fit on the M8 mount, and is computer printable? It occurs to me that if we had such a computer printable template, it could be used as a stencil, and precise holes could be made with a simple paper punch. The dots could be painted with hobbyist enamel. The problem is knowing which dots go where, and getting them precisely aligned. Most of this information could be taken off an already-coded lens with a piece of tracing paper, and then scanned into a computer. The template could be simply taped in place when you're ready to code. Perhaps it could be circular, aligned with the lens-mounting hack. And, we'd need a list of codes. Â That would make it possible for even the technically inept to code almost any lens... Â JC Â (One of the technically inept.)

robsteve Posted March 27, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted March 27, 2007 John Milch posted a PDF with the specs. If you print the pdf at 50% size by using a metric C6 evelope as the paper size, it is the perfect size.
