austin23 Posted February 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 28, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi - I have just bought the H-ES045 lens for my GF1, but I cant seem to get it to work. No focus. I've re-installed the firmware as per the Panasonic website, but still no joy. If i set it to MF mode, it takes photos (wont click in any auto mode) but still no focus. I've scoured the web, but can't find any reference to this, or what settings I might need to be using. Brand new lens, no other problems with other lenses. Thanking you in advance, Andy

jaapv Posted February 28, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 28, 2013 Well, you might strike lucky if there is a user here that knows about this, but it is the Leica forum.
pico Posted February 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 28, 2013 Just to be certain, did you update the camera firmware and then the lens firmware? If you have, and it is still dead, and other lenses work then the lens is broken.
austin23 Posted February 28, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted February 28, 2013 Camera firmware updated, but I cannot find any reference anywhere to the lens firmware download other than people asking for it.

austin23 Posted February 28, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted February 28, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks everyone. Someone with the same kit called, "shake it a little - does it rattle?" It rattles. It's been returned. Thanks for everyone who replied. Andy
