jlancasterd Posted March 27, 2007 Share #21  Posted March 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) If you use the Panotools filter to corect the cyan corners you could set up some actions to do this, just a click to correct. Assuming you use Photoshop. The new firmware should be released in the next few weeks, so hopefully there's not too long to wait.  Steve, Do you have a web address where we can look to find the Pantools filter? Guest guy_mancuso Posted March 27, 2007 Share #22  Posted March 27, 2007 I also dont see how Zeiss and CV would code their lenses for a Leica body.I dont believe that Leica will offer a firmware with manual lens input but I think they should. They really should.   Tom what i am saying is they may not have too. If you can get Zeiss and CV to just mill the code spaces than the user paints that in for the Leica equivelent lens So a Zeiss 25 just code for a leica 24 in the firmware it will see it as a leica 24mm automatically  Now is this legal well i don't know but there not putting a code in just the space. I can feel the lawyers coming. LOL  These are just some idea's as a user you can do like take your lenses to a guy that has a milling machine and ask him to mill out the 6 digits and do it yourself. Just looking at ways to skin the cat and get yourself working on all cylinders. really i would rather want everything automatic than sit there and plug in my lens in the menu item. I want to avoid that hassle
stunsworth Posted March 27, 2007 Share #23 Â Posted March 27, 2007 John have a look here... Â Panorama Tools Plug-ins (16-bit) Â This is Windows only I'm afraid. You'll need to download the pano12.dll and the plugin. Â Once installed you'll need to select the PtCorrect filter in Photoshop, tick Radial Luminance then Options. In options select the red channel and a value of say 5%. Adjust this to taste :-)

Guest guy_mancuso Posted March 27, 2007 Share #25 Â Posted March 27, 2007 The CV lenses are easy because all you really need is the right adapter. Okay hard to find ,well who makes adapters Fotodiox , Kindia and a whole slew of Chinese places . Throw them the idea to make them. Tom you know me and some of the antics we pulled with leica , Zeiss, Olympus glass just to get them to work on Canon bodies. Time to think of alternative ways to get this stuff done. Even if leica does do a menu item , it certainly won't be here next week
