The retail price in the USA is $600 (£300) - here in the UK it is £500. I have the opportunity to buy one in the USA, but need to know if it will work on the UK power supply without a transformer (just changing the plug). Thanks in advance, Sean. I ordered mine here: Nikon Coolscan V ED LS-50: Filmscanner für Dias und Negative - ScanDig. Good customer service, and shipping D-UK should be less expensive than shipping USA-UK. It is far easier and, in the end probably more cost-effective as well, to order from within the EU (no hassle with VAT and import taxes).
