Advertisement Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Hi MSA, Take a look here sd card maximum size. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
cbretteville Posted March 26, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 26, 2007 Up to 4GB std SD cards. Larger cards are supposed to be supported with a future FW update. Â Just remember that cards fail, are you sure you want 260 raw images on a single card? I loke to be fault tolerant and have decided to go for several cards rather than one or two really big ones. wparsonsgisnet Posted March 26, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted March 26, 2007 Some have had success with 4GB cards. Search for the thread about this: try SD cards
cbretteville Posted March 26, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted March 26, 2007 Forgot to mention: SDHC cards aren't supported as yet. The 4GB max is from the M8 docs.
MSA Posted March 26, 2007 Author Share #5 Â Posted March 26, 2007 thanks. my experience is that if they fail it is early in their life. ( i have had 2 failures a lexar and a ridata). i usuall run off a few hundred pictures before i trust them. am using 16gb cf cards in my 1dsmk2 (850 raw images) but transfering to an image bank (epson) at least daily. my m8 and three lenses arrive on wed. again thanks. max
Fred Schang Posted March 26, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted March 26, 2007 Has anyone used the Transcend 4gb 150x cards successfully with their M8? According to my dealer, they are supposed to work without a hitch.
