I also now have a near "perfect" tool set for these kinds of shots, namely: Sony NEX-7 + Novoflex NEX/LER Adapter + Leica Vario-Elmar-R 1:4/80-200 or Leitz APO-Telyt-R 1:3.4/180 The precision made Novoflex adapter is accurate enough so that the lenses have a hard stop at infinity. As the cranes are flying very high, that's an excellent focus point stop to have.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! pauledell Posted February 10, 2013 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2013 K-H, Through the years, I have seen lots of migrations, but never on this scale. It always amazes me how precise their formations are. A great series. Paul
platypus Posted February 11, 2013 Share #5 Posted February 11, 2013 Against that subtle grey background the Cranes have the delicacy of a pen and ink drawing. The images are quite Oriental and would look perfect on a Japanese vase. Very minimal and beautiful photographs. Dee.
