Hans Roggen Posted July 20, 2007 Share #41 Posted July 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've put a bit of tape on my focussing screen but it looks like crap with all the jagged eddges. I don't have the tools to cut out a more precise mask, so Jaap, if you have some spare minutes on your hands...:) I'll buy you a big big beer when we meet in Utrecht Hans
Advertisement Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Hi Hans Roggen, Take a look here M8 - the Macro thread. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest tvleeskr Posted August 25, 2007 Share #42 Posted August 25, 2007 I use my Panny FZ-50 for Marco/long tele pics. From day one the M8 for everything else. In my quest for portability (and after some fine whiskey's) I dared to order a cheap, no, very cheap close-up lens. It arrived yesterday, luckily in neutral packaging. I don't honestly want to be seen with this horrible piece of optics. Today I mounted the dreaded thing on my 2.8/24. With a simple measure found out that it gave me (sort of) sharpness between 55 and 65mm when focusing @ 70cm. So I decided to go for 70 cm - f11. The nearest flower in my garden and voila... The first pic is without and the second with +10, both focused at 70cm. Of course both with UV filter. I only slightly adjusted the white balance and added a little contrast in the mid tones. Nothing else. Pics where taken at 650ASA, no tripod and a windy moment. I just wonder what would happen when using real glass and under better controlled conditions. Any experience out there? Player Posted January 5, 2011 Share #43 Posted January 5, 2011 Nice images all – three years later. I played around with my Visoflex this summer and took these shots. I didn't have a viewfinder (still looking for one) so I made a one out of tape, tin foil and a toilet roll. All these are shot with the Noctilux 50mm f0.95 fully open. Welcome, dear visitor! zombii Posted January 8, 2011 Share #46 Posted January 8, 2011 This is a great thread. I'm just learning about the Visoflex. I read the Leica Wiki page but can anybody give me more insight into the advantages of v II vs v III? Thanks.

I read the Leica Wiki page but can anybody give me more insight into the advantages of v II vs v III? Thanks. The Viso III is the one that works on Leica M8 & M9 I believe. jaapv Posted January 8, 2011 Author Share #48 Posted January 8, 2011 The prism of the VisoflexII is too low for the M8/9. You can use a Visoflex II with either the chimney eyepiece or a Visoflex III prism. The Visoflex II is smaller, but it lacks the quick-return mirror. Also the Visoflex III can be mounted without removing the prism.

jtorrents Posted January 12, 2011 Share #51 Posted January 12, 2011 A few months ago I bought a Viso III, Bellows II and 135 f4. Shooting with this and the M8 is a pleasure and kind of fun! Here a pair of flowers/plants and my wife. The main difficult for me is accurate focusing and framing. I've tryied to put a mask on the viewfinder but the result was horrendous, not to up to Leica standards ;-) I've decided to use some kind of "mental" mask everytime. Another thing is that it's really easy to see how dirty is your sensor ;-) Regards, Joaquin Welcome, dear visitor!
