Hello Leica Users,

I've been absent from the forum for almost a year now. I've taken a couple of classes at ICP and created a new website for my photography at davidsellersphoto.com. Oh, and I continue to work full time as a law librarian.

I have a few slideshows on my website of photos which were made mostly with my Leica MP. One of the slideshows is a documentary presentation about a very interesting friend that I did for a recent ICP personal vision class (click on the "Richard Stack" link).

I'm hoping to participate in the forum more regularly in the future.

Best wishes to all!

David

Great documentational serie .... browsed through once and watched it twice. Made me think quit a bit.... main purpose of photograhy (my view, not necessarily anyone elses).

Sort of makes me want to say say "Say hi to Richard from me" ....

So, say hi to richard from me :-)

Michaela,

Thank you for taking the time to view the slideshow. It was very rewarding to take this project from an idea to a full presentation. I normally shoot urban landscapes, but this pushed me into new directions I had not really explored with my photography.

David

ps: I will tell Richard you said "Hi!"

I noticed that both the "cube" story and the "Richard Stack" that you seem to catch moments in a way so one can almost see them alive or hear them. It's quite interesting and I don't know why, except your timing must be right.

I should mention to you soundslides.com which I'm sure you could have use of in the future. I've used it for a few projects and like it very much. For a story like "Richard Starck" it might not work (in the way you did it with the texts) but with a narrator or sound it becomes very intersting.

Welcome back to the forum.

Thorsten,

Thank you for the very nice comments and for the tip about Soundslides.com. I have been considering doing a DVD presentation using Richard's voice instead of his written text, but this is a very interesting alternative.
