Billday2 Posted January 27, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've shot with Canon products for many years with very good results. I purchased an M9 and have started using it for a lot of indoor events. I keep getting a blue cast on a great many of my images. I never had to worry about this previously. I love the leica but I hate the blue cast. Any help would be appreciated.

250swb Posted January 27, 2013 Share #2 Posted January 27, 2013 Assuming you are shooting in .dng sort it out in ACR. Or you can adjust it to neutral and then copy the resulting white balance to the camera as a custom setting. Steve
adan Posted January 29, 2013 Share #3 Posted January 29, 2013 I'd have to see a picture to be sure, but it is easy (counterintuitively) to get a blue cast under red/yellow indoor lights. The reason being that the blue pixels are essentially insensitive to common indoor light, which leaves the blue channel of the image essentially black, especially in the shadows (which got even less exposure). Raising the level of the blue channel to make the midtones neutral often leads to massive blue noise in those shadows, and a strong blue tint.
