Although it's been a beautiful day here today, this sort of thing could keep anyone amused for hours on even the wettest days. My excuse list for not taking shots just got shorter. I think I might make a big print of one of these. (Memo to self - make sure the lens is as clean as possible next time. At extreme macro, even a speck of dust on the lens will show on the image... It is amazing how many photo oportunities there are around us - one just has to walk around with open eyes! As to a speck of dust on the lens showing in the picture at extreme macro - I don't think so.... The depth of field is extremely shallow, most likely it was dust on the sensor.
