LeicaBraz Posted January 22, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 22, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are the patches read by the lightmeter the same in the M9 as in the M7 and MP? I would guess the Monochrome and M9 are the same. Thanks
Advertisement Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Hi LeicaBraz, Take a look here Lightmeters. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted January 22, 2013 Share #2 Posted January 22, 2013 No- the MP and M7 have the round patch on the shutter cloth, the M8 has a white band on the blades which, together with the field of view of the lightmeter, makes for a more or less oval metering field, whereas the M9?MM have an additional couple of gray blades making the field a slightly fuzzy-edged ellipsoid.Click here In daily use, however, I doubt you would notice the differences. LeicaBraz Posted January 22, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted January 22, 2013 Thanks very much, Jaap. The link, however, links to an article on autism to which I believe I am immune, due to my age. Regards
