Now that is indeed interesting. The filter is the 74x74 mm B&W rimless filter and it is situated inside the optical cell, exactly in front of the diaphragm. That means that the light path is relatively parallel there, so NO cyan vignetting on this lens.

Jaap,

This shot reminds of of the Jag that was tailgating me on my way home from work yesterday. I put my foot to the pedal and he turned into a telephoto shot. :-)

Oh ... I love to communicate with tailgaters ... when I see a tailgater on me, I normally put my lead-foot on the brakes and in a moment, I hear a loud tire slide and the tailgating never happen again. The worst case is I will get a new car from his insurance ... occasionally, it was her insurance. In short, tailgaters ALWAYS lose.

If you do that in Europe you'll find you lose the court case. You must have a reason to slam on the brakes ("didn't you see that German Shepherd running across the road??:D "). Anyway my technique is just accelerating and then slowing again. It irritates the hell out of tailgaters.

Really? Here the person in back is presumed to be the cause of any accident, which makes a lot of sense in most cases. Of course, in a lot of America, it doesn't matter whose fault the accident was--everyone's insurance goes up.
