Others to a much smaller degree. Did the allen key thing with zeroing to infinity though I have a feeling there may be more to adjusting the rangefinder than just that. Â My questions are, does the new version asph exhibit less of this back focus tendency? Has anyone else had issues with their 50 pre -asph and gotten it fixed? Is their a true fix by Leica (or knowledgable others) for back focusing? What are your experiences sending back to Solms for this issue and has it worked? Â Thanks! hankg Posted March 23, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 23, 2007 I purchased a used 50/1.4 preASPH which back focusd badly. I sent it to DAG and he had to shim the optics .0003 away from the flange it was so far off. But after his adjustment it is dead on. Don't screw up your RF adjustment if its your lens that is off.
