rfnoob Posted January 1, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 1, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently purchased an Nex 6 as a backup camera and am wondering if I can use my SF-58 on it. I've heard horror stories about trigger voltages but it seems like the SF-58 was made for digital cameras (I use it with my M9) and would have a low trigger voltage. Thanks! wlaidlaw Posted January 1, 2013 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2013 Leica flash trigger voltages are low and will be safe on all digital cameras. I have been using the SF58-D on an Olympus Pen EP-2 digital system camera and it was just fine. I used manual setting on the camera and Auto on the flash. It seemed to work fine at both 1/160 and 1/125 of a second. Wilson
rfnoob Posted January 2, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted January 2, 2013 Thanks! I just tried setting the flash to A and then setting the lens to 35f/2 (I'm using the 24f/1.8) and it seems to work well.
