Flowimage Posted January 1, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted January 1, 2013 It turns out that the combination of washing soda, vitamin C and instant coffee is a remarkable developer for many BW films! Its called Caffenol. Not only is it very very cheap (and not toxic), but it also delivers excellent results! Tones, grain, sharpness and contrast is usually really good. Of course not every emulsion behaves the same - but this is a common problem. Unfortunately this was not invented by me… I came across this very interesting blog and had to try it out: Caffenol It really is simple and the results are … well see above! pauledell Posted January 1, 2013 Share #4 Posted January 1, 2013 Excellent composition, fine tones and crisp sharpness. There is some artifact (lint, scratches etc.) that can be cleaned up with photoshop if you have it. Paul
