AlanG Posted December 18, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 18, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Kodak's CEO Antonio Perez is in running for CNBC's Herb Greenberg's choice of worst CEO for 2012. He said it was remarkable that Perez kept his job while taking Kodak into bankruptcy. Here is the first paragraph in Perez's bio on Kodak's site: "Since joining the company in April 2003, Kodak Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Antonio M. Perez has led the worldwide transformation of Kodak from a business based on film to one based primarily on digital technologies."

His job is to carry out the boards directives. The directors obviously thought this was the best course of action for stockholder value.

AlanG Posted December 19, 2012 Author Share #6 Posted December 19, 2012 I didn't say it wasn't a good idea to move into digital technology. I just think it is funny touting this as his accomplishment when the company has gone bust.
