hello

I have attached a photo of two different types of "film advance" levers for the LEICA R cameras.

Can anyone tell me how they differ as far as performance and comfort?

Is one lever easier to use than the other?

Does one lever offer more support/stability while shooting?

ETC...

Thank you

I believe that the lever A to the left was on the R4 and R4S. My R4SP has the lever B on the right. The lever of my R7 is much like the one to the Right (B) and my R4SP, but it is a little different as to the portion where it locks to the camera. I am not sure where the change took place between in the evolution of the R cameras between the R4SP and the R7.

I had an R4S which was upgarded as par as possible to an R4SP.

As to the comfort between the advances, there is little difference, though the lever B to the right might be a little more comfortable.

I agree with Rich. My R4 and R4s had lever 'A', and my R4sP has lever 'B'. B is slightly more comfortable for me.
