k-hawinkler Posted December 6, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted December 6, 2012 Philipp, Â Excellent image. The NEX-5N seems to serve you well. How do you like it? Do you use it with an EVF?
pop Posted December 7, 2012 Author Share #6 Â Posted December 7, 2012 K.-H., thank you. Â I use the Nex 5N with an electronic viewfinder. Earlier this year, I committed the error of buying a Nex 5 which will not support an EVF. I sold it quite fast. Â What I like about the 5N with the EVF is the ease with which I can focus the 90mm and even the 135mm Elmarits. The picture in this thread was taken with the lens fully open. The focus peaking works quite well for me for those lenses, even when there is but little light. Â It's too early yet to tell whether I actually like the 5N as I've had it for a few days only. The handling is IMO not very elegant and I have not had a close look at the image quality. Â All in all, I think I'm going to keep it as it very nicely complements the M9 for close-up work and working with longer focal lengths, to name but two domains.
