philipus Posted December 4, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 4, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Apologies for this, likely basic, question: I have a Summitar, which I like a lot, and understand that later versions of the NOOKY-HESUM work with this lens provided the lens name is inscribed on the front. But does the NOOKY-HESUM only work with screwmount bodies or can I use it, with my LTM-M adapter, on my Ms? If so, are there any restrictions in usage on the M, for instance focusing-wise? Thanks in advance

a.noctilux Posted December 4, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 4, 2012 Hello, The NOOKY-HESUM can not be used with M mount body. Even with LTM Leica IIIg, it's useless. The "goggle" attached is designed for only earlier LTM. Arnaud

How it works ? you choose the reproduction ratio on the NOOKY and next you move, usualy the camera, until you get the 2 images in the range finder coinciding
philipus Posted December 5, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted December 5, 2012 Dear Arnaud and JC, thank you very much, much appreciated. I might get the NOOKY-HESUM anyway and use on my Leica II. Cheers
a.noctilux Posted December 5, 2012 Share #5 Posted December 5, 2012 Just for fun, when I first have received, some years ago, my NOOKY-HESUM, I wanted to use it with my M8 and the Summar 5 cm I love. The set-up is only for fun and the results not great. I used a Leica III with the setup and as "distance comparator" with the rangefinder on a tripod, then swapped for the M8 with M adaptor, keeping same setting on the lens. The M8's viewfinder is a bit blocked and not accurate. Much trouble for "nothing", only unsharp pictures, even when closed the Summar to f:12.5.
