Advertisement Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Hi Bill Allsopp, Take a look here Contre-jour in Stratford. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wattsy Posted December 4, 2012 Share #2  Posted December 4, 2012 Maybe it's just me but the 'British High Street' is a depressing place nowadays – even (maybe especially) in the run-up to Christmas. Shops to-let, etc. and retailers just waiting to go bust.  The 35 Summarit is a very good lens for a bit of classic contre-jour like the first photograph (the second two reinforce my feeling about the depressing nature of the 'high street'). michali Posted December 4, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted December 4, 2012 Bill- Nicely handled and wonderful light! Typical of the Summarit's signature, which is my favourite 35mm lens.
pauledell Posted December 4, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted December 4, 2012 Bill, Â The light is everything in these pictures from the back lit shadows to the rim lighting off the subjects. You were also able to have excellent detail and tones from the shaded area. Â Paul
