I have a Monochrom on the way. My first Leica digital since the Digilux 2. I mainly shoot film with MPs, M2s and a CL. I use a couple of the Summicron-C 40/2, a Nokton 40/1.4 and an Elmar 50/2.8 (1959).

Are the two Leica lenses in the menu when setting manually or will I have to do a close approximation? Is there a list? Thanks.

and it's great. but the congrats should go to solms where suche a fine thingy was made.

;-)

@andy:

these two are not in the menu, but don't worry - both will work fine without any specific profile.

Oh absolutely!

I was just reminded by using this camera for the first time for a whole evening @ ISO 1600 − 6400, despite using it as my main camera now since I got it last year.

The look and feel of the files really mesh perfectly with pushed B&W film, making my old favourite pairing of one digital body and one film body desirable again ;-)

M Monochrom and 90mm Tele-Elmarit version 1 "fat" - my copy was made in 1969. It's a very inexpensive (for Leica) and underrated lens.
