I saw him give a show - an illustrated lecture? an exhibition? an audience? - in London some years back and he was simply brilliant, completely engaging and compelling to listen to. Â I also recommend his little Phaidon 55 selection - not primarily for the pictures, because while a great selection they are very small, but for the few sentences he writes about each.
