Advertisement Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Hi dkCambridgeshire, Take a look here WestLicht Camera Auction 24 November - Interesting prices. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
zeitz Posted November 24, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2012 Thanks for the summary, Dunk. I was also amazed at the prices for the very high end collector items. Clearly the really weathly are doing well enough to spend freely. I thought the prices on normal collectibles were reasonable. I had my eye on the 100cm f6.3 Nikkor mirror lens. I did not bid, but I found the selling price to be reasonable. I did buy two Zeiss items at far less than I anticipcated. I wish they would have auctioned Leica lots last. I had some money left to spend, but after the "Zeiss" everything I might have bid on was already hammered down.

I have a good idea who was buying the high end collectables - probably not Europeans. dunk
zeitz Posted November 25, 2012 Share #4 Posted November 25, 2012 Dunk, do you think it was one or two buyers? Were they end-buyers or dealers expecting to resell for a profit? I guess I should listen in on the next auction. Zeitz
