Messsucherkamera Posted November 22, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 22, 2012 I saw this the other day - I'm glad someone posted it. My favorites are - That lens is white - that means professional. ...and Leica is made in Germany - by the hands of a little German man.

Messsucherkamera Posted November 22, 2012 Share #4 Posted November 22, 2012 People say things that are much more annoying than fanboy (although I will agree that the term is obnoxious) .
andyedward Posted November 26, 2012 Share #5 Posted November 26, 2012 "fanboy" is an annoying thing that people say. "Fanboy" is an annoying term, but it's accurate. My definitition of a fanboy is someone who blindly believes their chosen brand can do no wrong, and their products are better than others. Come to think of it, leica has some fanboys as well !!! tobey bilek Posted November 27, 2012 Share #7 Posted November 27, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yup, annoying term. There are too many maintenance issues with the new M and they are expensive. They still have the only RF digital worth anything so I put up with it. But they are not what they used to be. They get dead pixels that have to be mapped out by a service department at almost $500 a shot. The electronics are marginal. The shutter is rated for 100k whereas Nikons pro cameras are double to triple that. There is no space for a proper cloth shutter like the past. It is too loud. But it does make a magnificent image and takes lenses from 1930 to the present so we can achieve any look we want. The package is small so the person who has no assistants can manage it. Pro Nikons are a beast and the pro lenses worse still. They are big as 2# coffee can. But if you want fast AF, they fit the bill. Or I can use the older manual lenses. I guess you pay your money and take your choice.
farnz Posted November 28, 2012 Share #8 Posted November 28, 2012 "Fanboy" is a deliberately derogatory and demeaning put down. Why not "Fanman"? Or better, "enthusiast"? Pete.
