Pyrogallol Posted June 9, 2021 Share #21 Â Posted June 9, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) I received one attached to a lens I bought. It seems an efficient way to drop two lenses at the same time or pick up one and have the other one fall off because you are not holding on to it. stephengv Posted January 13 Share #22 Â Posted January 13 For those who glued the lens cap, what glue do you used? how was it?

Mine are still solid and working well for many years. I used a 2-part EPOXY mixed type of glue. You need to gently Clamp the 2 caps together after you apply a thin coat of  Epoxy. The proper Leica  Caps work far better tan the Optech caps and of course will still fit Wide angle Leica lenses whose elements protrude out the back of the lens.

roverover Posted January 14 Share #25  Posted January 14 I don’t have enough experience using Gorilla glue so I cannot tell you if it will work on this kind of plastic well enough to be safe. I do know that using a two-part epoxy mix which is very common and easy to buy does work.

Contact cement or rubber cement works great for gluing plastic together. I made two sets and have been using them for over ten years with no problems. mdarnton Posted January 27 Share #27 Â Posted January 27 Advertisement (gone after registration) Epoxy. Library tape (a more elegant duct tape). Not rubber cement as used for paper! Maybe there's a type I don't know about.
