Advertisement Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Hi earleygallery, Take a look here New iphone app from Kodak!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
CalArts 99 Posted November 9, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 9, 2012 I downloaded the app last week. For seasoned film users it's pretty useless, imho. After all, there are only 8 films Kodak currently produces and so it's not hard to remember what they are and what sizes they come in. Plus they list "applications" for each film type which is something everybody already knows. It's basically just a Kodak website for the iPhone. They also list "where to buy" globally but with no link to addresses, contact numbers or maps. The "where to process" list does have map links but it is woefully incomplete. e.g., it lists only four places in California (and as another example only one place in Berlin.) I assume they'll update all that eventually but I suppose it'll be about contracting with Kodak to have your business listed. If one is traveling, it may prove somewhat helpful on where to buy and process film. But on the positive side it's good to see that they are marketing their film products using current media technology and that this can potentially get more new users interested in film. erl Posted November 10, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 10, 2012 Expending their energy in the wrong direction IMO! ..... and far too late to be of use. Typical of Kodak. Pity such good films have to come from such an an out of touch source.
