Dear Andy,

please count me in for the factory tour, the One challenge shooting event and the meal on Saturday evening.

Thanks a lot for organizing this, and if you need any assistance please let me know.

I'm a native German and Dutch speaker and my French and English are my working languages.

Looking forward meeting all of you in Wetzlar.

Maybe we can also have a quick look at the new Leica factory that will be nearing it's completion by the end of this year.

I'll be coming by car and have 4 places left if we need transportation to the restaurant or factory.

John

A word of warning for anyone contemplaying flying into Frankfurt with Germanwings.

The website is a nightmare, flips randomly back into German and/or changes your flight times on update then falls over when you try to confirm your booking. I've tried it twice myself, then again through my concierge service.

They finally ended up booking me exactly the same flights at the same price through Lufthansa, which also saved the credit card fee...!

Regards,

Bill

Germanwings are part of Lufthansa now, as I understand it.

No such problem when you travel by Defender.

Cheers, Tom

Trust me, Tom, my original plan was to drive. ;) I now need to be back promptly on the Monday so flights are the least worst option. You are right, Germanwings is mostly owned by Lufthansa - the booking experience was so smooth in comparison that I will never bother with the Germanwings website again.

As an aside, it turns out that the Wetzlarerhof is now fully booked on the Thursday night so we are flying into Frankfurt in the morning on Thursday, having a day there and staying over before making our way to Wetzlar early on Friday morning to arrive in time for the 10:30 tour.

Regards,

Bill
