GauravAgarwala Posted November 2, 2012 Share #1 ย Posted November 2, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) My new Leica X2 makes a creeking noise while auto focusing without even pressing the shutter. Am not sure if this is a defect or normal. Am unhappy with the pictures I have clicked from it and am wondering if the focusing is defective. Have attached an image for review. Please provide feedback, thx

metalbernd Posted November 2, 2012 Share #2 ย Posted November 2, 2012 Do you mean the sound of chipping diafragma blades? This is normal, it happens when there is a difference between light and dark. I mean that this is for over-exposing of the lcd screen?
GauravAgarwala Posted November 3, 2012 Author Share #3 ย Posted November 3, 2012 No, this is the sound derived from the focusing motor when you point the camera from a near point to a further point!! When the ear is close to the camera I hear a sound when the camera tries to focus by itself!!
