Went for a long walk..No water or electricity but could have been much worse. :)

beautiful photos!!!!! love them.

 

unfortunately i haven't had time to walk around much (hospital needs me more)....aside from the night of the Hurricane...when i took some photos that ended up very dark and blurry.

Thank you all again for looking..

 

LFI liked #7 (and 9) and put them in the "master" shot section.

 

My "best" shots are usually taken in a more relaxed (less) preconceived way.

 

I took photo 7 as I was taking a picture of the Con Ed plant on 14th and avenue D when i turn and saw the woman. As we know there is a moment less than one second toake the attemp and it seems i was lucky with it.

 

Image 9 was as i was leaving the restaurant in a "why not" take the shot moment", i defocused my eyes, looking off past the subjects and fired three deliberate shots. I'm please with the result.

 

Was one of the last of the day.

 

Thank you all again for looking and commenting.

 

Going out again to charge my batteries and other devices.

 

No power or water. Historic time in NYC.

Mark,

 

A fine series. They are all great shots that seem to tell the story of trying to come to grips with the situation. I certainly feel for all involved with Sandy's destruction and wish for a speedy recovery.
